Friday Faves...ladder turned pot and pan rack

In our former home, I had my pots and pans hanging on a wall in my pantry. You can see how here. I loved having my pots hanging up instead of having to dig in a cupboard for them. Our new to us house has a bigger kitchen with plenty of cupboard space for my pots and pans, but no wall space in the pantry to hang them from. I had an idea to hang them from my old ladder but had a hard time finding S-hooks that would fit over the rungs. The other day, I went into a Backyard Bird Shop with a friend, and there among the birdhouses and other backyard decor were the perfect hooks! How random is that!

I wanted the ladder to be flush with the wall, not leaning against it. In order for the ladder not to fall forward, I secured it by placing eye screws into the ladder and then screws going into the wall studs.

Refinishing or painting our cabinets and replacing the countertops is on our things to do list, but outdoor projects are the priority for the summer.

I'm always excited when an idea I've had floating around in my mind for quite some time works out!

It's Friday!
Have a HAPPY, HAPPY Friday
and
a safe and BLESSED weekend!

  4. What a great idea using your ladder as a pot rack. Like you said, it provides easy access to pots and pans.

  7. Love it!!! Ties in nicely with your stainless appliances. I bet it is much easier then lifting all the pans to get the one on the bottom.
    Have a great weekend!!!
    God Bless~
