Grocery list...

I'm a "grab a scrap of paper or the back of an envelope" grocery list kind of girl.
But, when I found some old rolls of what I think is adding machine paper on a shelf in our garage
I had a "lightbulb moment".
Five minutes later I had this...

Simple.

  1. Perfect! Sadly, I write my grocery list during the hymn singing in church. That organist needs to pick up the tempo. :)

    1. I actually think it's good to write down the random things that come to mind during prayer or worship, (or hymn singing). The writing them down gets them off your mind so you can go back to concentrating on the other.

  2. How clever are you! My grocery lists go on the "Notes" app of my phone. I know, not nearly as creative as some, but seems to get the job done for me.

    1. Duh! I actually never thought of putting my list on my phone. I'm such a paper and pencil type gal that I have a hard time switiching from a pen and paper planner to my phone calendar.

  3. Cute! I keep my grocery list on my phone these days. It's not as cute as your list but I never leave my list at home anymore!

  5. That is a wonderful idea!! I live and love a man who insists on leaving empty containers on my baker's rack so I don't forget to restock that item. I have tried to get him just to write it in my little notebook, but in his defense I tend to move the little notebook. This would work, I think.

    1. I'm glad you like the idea. I'm sure there's a million ways to "cute-ify" it up.

  7. First of all to Debbie--and I thought I had it bad because my husband leaves yellow stickie notes all over the place--smile--

I love this--if for no other reason, a cute decoration--and I love that you have healthy food items listed--I would forget and go off and leave it though--I STILL have to depend upon my memory--and that is getting more and more unreliable.

    1. Smiling at the yellow stickies comment. Speaking of husbands, mine NEVER has gone to the store for me without getting the things on the list then other things he thinks we should have as well. :)

  8. Love this idea! I normally use my phone, but other members of my household could use something like this, and then I could grab it and go!

  12. Love it! Guess what my techno-savvy daughter turned me onto? Using my iPhone for a place to keep my grocery list. Now I never forget it.

But really, yours has a lot more heart.

    1. You are now the fifth person to say they put their grocery list on their phone...I am now completely embarrassed that I never, ever thought of doing that before!
