Friday Favs...a lazy day off

Last Friday's "date day", (the Hub's one day off a week),
turned into a "we're too tired and lazy to dress up and do much of anything day".
We stayed in our pjs 'til almost noon.
I puttered around the house, changing some things around on
I took my red transferware out of the dish cabinet and put them out in the open for all to see.
I figured Valentine's day will be here before you know it,
so some more peeks of red here and there seems appropriate.
I played with my camera and new 50mm lens,
taking photos while I was "puttering".
Eventually, we did actually leave the house to run a couple of errands
and then we walked around a local fitness trail together.
Overall, it was a lazy, uneventful day off.
Actually, it was practically perfect.

It's almost Friday, friends!
Have a HAPPY, HAPPY Friday
a BLESSED weekend!

Still following,

  1. Nice pic, Praise the Lord of love and peace...
    Jesus is good.

  2. You've gotta love those "practically perfect" days :)
(Your red transferware dishes are so pretty - how nice to have a place to leave them out...)

  3. Your aesthetic is so lovely, Elizabeth. What a gloriously unfolding kind of day. Enjoy your day with your hubby tomorrow, and happy weekend to you too!

  4. Love the shelves and the days when it seems like perfection.

  5. Love this dishes and the rack they are in! I keep trying to think of a what to keep dishes "out" in my kitchen, but I think I'd have to remove or re-do a's the only space available. Maybe some day! :)

  6. I like lazy days we have many of them now.

  7. What a treat to have a day to stay home and putter! I love what you did with your dishes. Perfect for Valentine's Day - or any day! I'm so happy for you to have your new camera and that special lens. I miss my 50mm from my old film Minolta (which are in the closet).

  8. Red is my favorite color. Your transferware is gorgeous. If it were mine, I'd have it out all the time. I'm glad you enjoyed your lazy day.

  9. I love your shelves and the way you have decorated it. Your red and white transferware is pretty. Sometimes a quiet ordinary day is better. :) Blessings, Pamela

  15. What a lovely post, my friend.
First, I am thrilled to see the name you chose for your blog. I love your openess and willingness to give Jesus the glory in your blogging adventure.
Secondly...Oh, my goodness! Your red and white dishes and display is beautiful. Nothing warms a kitchen and a home like the color RED (my favorite color).

  16. Putter days are wonderful. I have started collecting a bit of red transferware, thinking they would be my Christmas dishes. I love that you can show yours off like that. That entire shelving is fabulous with all the pretty things on it. :)

  17. Hi Elizabeth, You had me hooked when I saw the word "transferware". I have these same dishes though not as many as you do. Love the way you have them displayed. i am your newest follower. xx, Sherry

  18. Your pictures are really pretty and I am glad you had a nice relaxing day everyone needs that on occasion. Pj's are great as long as no one is coming over.

  19. Love your transferware, Elizabeth! I am a fan of it myself. The red and white is just perfect for Christmas time and then through Valentine's Day. Love how you have it displayed like this and with the grain sack dish towel.

  20. Oh I love your dishes and shelving. Very pretty!

  21. Your transferware looks so pretty sitting out like that. I have been eyeballing red for a few years now, and this year I hope to get more of it. I love it.

And the Friday date day sounds restful and nice to me. Anything I do with the husband is date enough for me. (Well, maybe not quite everything, but you know what I mean.)

  22. Lovely transferware. Love them sitting out on the shelves like that -- if you've got it "flaunt it"! And red transferware is perfect for Valentines! (and Christmas!)

  23. I love your dishes and they way you have displayed them. So pretty. Thanks so much for sharing at Wednesday's Adorned From Above Blog Hop.
