Fun, free, Easter décor…

One of the problems with being a bargain shopper is that you can be compelled to buy something just because it’s so cheap!  It’s easy for me to fall into the “it’s only four (or two, or five, or whatever), dollars” trap.  I should make myself add up all of those little under 10 dollar purchases in a year and see how much it equals…I’m afraid of what I might find out!  Well, here are some Easter decorations that cost me zero, zip, nada!  YaY!

I googled “free vintage Easter pictures” and found all sorts of old-fashioned goodies to print.

A “mini garland” made with some twine and some of the copied pictures

trimmed with scrapbooking scissors adorns my mama’s old suitcase that rests atop my antique trunk.

I love the cute little yellow chick on this tag I made.

It’s hanging on one of the french lemonade bottles that sits in the wooden box on my dining table.

A copy of a vintage religious Easter card is tucked into a formerly red frame that I painted with beach-y gray craft paint, glazed with burnt umber craft paint watered down and then distressed.

It’s sits with a grouping of white stoneware atop my dish cabinet.

This copy of a vintage Easter card sits on top of my old blue dresser

next to a cloche with a hand blown egg nested inside.

A simple, uncomplicated Easter mantle decorated with graduated sizes of white pitchers.

The largest pitcher wears a handmade clay tag.

Egg cups nest hand blown and died eggs that I save from year to year.

(I already owned the pitchers and egg cups.)

I feel pretty good about my no cost decorations…

(but I may need to confess the “my husband took me to lunch across the street from my favorite antique store” incident to you later this week…stay tuned.)

Still following,

Elizabeth

  8. Have fun on your outing. My husband has been gone so much lately that I would enjoy an outing with him to the mailbox. LOL

This is the second blog that I've read in 24 hours to inspire me to check for free graphics.

As my daughter used to say, "I got that clue."
