Snow day gratitude...

I'm still staying at my youngest daughter's house for a couple of more days, helping her with our newborn granddaughter and our twenty month old grandson. So, yesterday I got busy and distracted and didn't post my gratitude journal for last week, so today it is!  As always, there is so much to give God thanks for - like waking up to a wee bit of snow, just enough to have some fun!
Since 2009 I've been counting my blessings thanks to the prompting of Ann Voskamp.
I continue to count my thanks,
piling up gratitude day by day in my journal.
(and capturing some of my blessings via my camera or iPhone)

-a healthy baby girl and a safe delivery for our daughter
-youngest grandson being such a good boy for me while his mama is in the hospital
-a walk around my hometown with him (my youngest now lives in the town I grew up in)

-a good night's sleep with youngest grandson
-a gorgeous winter day for a long walk together
-God's provision
-Daddy, Mama and baby are home from the hospital

-youngest grandson's sweet gentleness with his baby sister
-another gorgeous, sunny winter day
-winter camelia blooms
-homemade chicken noodle soup
-my grandson finally calling me Nana!

-waking up before everyone else for some quiet time
-getting to see my husband for a little while
-a DQ soft serve chocolate cone - my fave!
-baby's first bath

-it's February!
-my husband coming to spend the day with us
-taking our grandson to make a Build-A-Bear for his sister

-gray skies, but no rain, so we could still go on our walk
-stopping at Starbucks for a good cup of coffee
-God evident work in things we've been praying about
-oldest daughter ordering us Chipotle-yum!
-our girls blessing us about some of the decisions we made raising them

-the love and unity happening in our church
-new faces every week
-time with my husband before heading back to youngest daughter's
-our baby granddaughter is already a week old-she focuses intently on faces now

still following,

  1. Congratulations on your beautiful new granddaughter!

  2. Congratulations on your new granddaughter! I love that sweet picture of her feet.
