Still finding reasons-

Since the fall of 2009 I've been trying to notice and write down at least three blessings from each day.  They may be as ordinary as an afternoon walk or as extraordinary as an answer to a prayer I've prayed for years and years. The point is that learning to live a life of gratitude and thankfulness is something you can make into a habit-a habit of noticing, recording and counting God's blessings. And when you choose to do so, your whole perspective about life changes.  You see God's faithfulness in big and small ways throughout all of life's ups and downs.  I can't recommend this simple, little habit enough.
Since 2009 I've been counting my blessings thanks to the prompting of Ann Voskamp.
I continue to count my thanks
piling up gratitude day by day
in my journal.
(and capturing some of my blessings via my camera or iPhone)

-starting the day with snuggles
-a walk in the rain
-my youngest grandson loving to listen to stories that I make up
-hot Pho soup for dinner

-watercolor painting-the joy of creating
(enter a giveaway for one of these watercolors in this post)
-making homemade rolls and homemade soup-two of my favorite things to make
-another great time with our small group

-talking to my second grand granddaughter about God
-a walk together-running and giggling when a sudden gush of wind and rain started
-her wanting to go on a second walk with Papa when he got home from the office
-flowers "just because" from my husband

-morning blue hour followed by a deep pink sunrise
-tiny green leaves on forming on bare tree branches
-a serenade of frogs
-sweet worship and the presence of God at our weekly night of worship and prayer

-Friday date day with my guy
-cute photos of my granddaughters with their pink St. Patricks shirts and headbands on
-going to the two oldest grandkid's spring program

-a sweet moment with Jesus as I wrote about His faithfulness in my life
-a fun day of baking and cooking with my oldest granddaughter and her friend
-my oldest brother coming for a visit
-a fun evening with family and friends

-such amazing worship
-God's working in and through our lives and church
-spending the evening at our oldest daughter's so my brother could see them and their farmhouse

still following,
