Everything's coming up roses...

(Kim's hughes texture, lighten, 20% opacity)

For five dollars, a bouquet of Trader Joe's cream colored roses is a beautiful bargain.

I love this vintage style jar vase from Dayspring.
Notice the raised letters, B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L.

This sweet little pink rose is from my backyard.
It appears I'm fighting a losing battle with blackspot on my rose bushes.
Any expert gardening advice for this novice?

I think this last photo, my most unstaged, may be my favorite.
These blue bottles sit on my kitchen windowsill.
The roses and lavender are from my backyard.

    1. Dianne, Safeway has pretty good flowers at reasonable prices, too.

    2. Or Dianne if you happen to live near and Aldi... they have great little bouquets for a reasonable price too.

  2. I love how you chose a simple jar vase for your cream roses.... that it doesn't compete with the beauty of the roses. Great call!

  3. I always used to walk past the supermarket flowers in favour of our local market but your roses are stunning, now !I'm going to check them out! I have just been involved with my parents church flower festival and a lot of the flowers came from the UK Supermarkets - Bargain :)
    Wonderful photos and roses.

  4. I am commenting on this post form my Texture Tuesday post. I hope you get good advice for your roses-you can't lose them! My favorite shots are the ones with the pink rose. The creamy ones are nice but the pink is so lovely in its simplicity.

  11. I love the roses, but was drawn instantly to that wonderful vase. Love the shape and the letters. How nice. I miss my roses, but dug them out because I'm just not a green thumb and they were pathetic last year, but then they were really some that I found really cheap. I hope to buy a couple of better rose bushes. I've had a few over the years, but I just don't take the time to keep up with them. The photographs you shared are great. Have a happy week. :)

  13. So many beautiful rose photographs! My favorite is the pink rose from above. The 'beautiful' vase with the white roses is wonderful too. I have never grown roses and admire those who can.

  14. Love your photos!!!! I wish I could send you some of my Double Delights!!!! Their beauty and smell is heavenly. Living in California, with a drought, I won't be able to water and keep them going throughout the summer...as much as I would like. I have been praying for rain...as the situation is serious.

  15. Oh, these are so pretty! I can almost smell the *freshness*!!

As to the problem with your roses, I am not the person to ask. I have a black thumb (actually, two of them!), and I have never been able to deal with plants without damaging or killing them. Thankfully we live in the middle of a forest now. Nature takes care of it all!!

    GOD BLESS!

    1. Sharon, I'm not a gardener either, but I tend to be romantic in my choice of things I want to try to grow. Lavender, roses, herbs...all things that conjure up a "feeling" to me, and if they survive, it's certainly not due to any gifting or knowledge on my part!

    1. Rebecca, I know nothing about gardening in general. If I plant something and it survives it's pure serendipity!
