God can be counted on...

When we observe our sin twisted world we can get fearful about the future.
But when we observe and really see with eyes of revelation
God's presence, activity and faithfulness in our daily lives,
we develop a knowing,
based on the truth of His Word and the revelation we've seen of His character,
that no matter what shakes down in this world,
God is still on His throne
and He will have His way in the end.
There really is coming a day when the kingdoms of this world
will become the kingdoms of Our God and of His Christ.
In the meanwhile,
"be strong and let your heart take courage all you who wait for the Lord." (Psalm 31:24)

Since 2009 I've been counting my blessings thanks to the prompting of Ann Voskamp.
I continue to count my thanks
piling up gratitude day by day
in my little green journal.
(and capturing some of my blessings via my camera or iPhone)

  2. I heard the glorious line from the Hallelujah Chorus in my head ("the kingdom of this world....") as I read your encouraging post.

I had my Sunday nap, too, after an unusually restless night.

Your photos just keep getting better and better! There is a meditative quality to them - reflecting of your spirit at peace with Our God and His Christ.

Eyes on Jesus, my friend . Always ♥

  5. I particularly loved your flower photos today. Very, very lovely. And I was greatly encouraged by your beginning words. This thought, yes:

"...no matter what shakes down in this world, God is still on His throne and He will have His way in the end."

What comfort, peace, and hope is found in that Truth.

"I have set the LORD always before me; because he is at my right hand, I shall not be shaken." (Psalm 16:8, ESV)

    GOD BLESS!
