Isaiah 45:8...

It's raining today.
We had such a long, dry summer that the rain is welcome.
Similarly, our nation is in a spiritual drought.
We are in desperate need of the rain of God's righteousness.
I long to see salvation spring up
 in my neighborhood,
in our city,
in our state,
in the Pacific Northwest,
in our nation,
in our world.
I'm praying,
we're praying,
we're asking for His rain.

    1. Rebecca, we had such a long, dry summer that we were all asking for rain, quite unusual for western Oregon!

  3. It's easy to get discouraged when we don't hear of many people coming to the Lord. Thanks for the beautiful reminder to pray and pray and continue to pray for the salvation of all.
Another blogger's post reminded me of the verses in 1 Timothy 2:

The first thing I want you to do is pray. Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know. Pray especially for rulers and their governments . . .
4-7 He wants not only us but everyone saved, you know (MSG)

  5. Amen to this, Elizabeth. All we like sheep have gone astray. We have turned everyone to his own way. But God...

  7. Amen. A "spiritual drought" describes this nation and so many individuals making up this country as well as this world. I join you in prayer, Elizabeth. Praising God for Who He is and all He can and will do.
