Noticed, savored, counted…

I’m so full and overwhelmed at the goodness of God.

He’s the God who hears and responds to the secret desires of our heart…

responds in ways that are over and above and beyond all we could ask or think.

This whole trip has been over, above, and beyond.

Yesterday we met some of Mama’s relatives living on Prince Edward Island.

They took us to the family homestead, the home my great grandfather built.

Mama was born in that house.

They took us to the home of Mama’s first cousin.

She is ninety years old.

We sat in the spotless kitchen of her humble little home and her husband played the fiddle for us.

He’s known as the best Acadian fiddler on the island.

He played for the Queen of England when she visited the island.

We were so readily welcomed, embraced, made to feel like family, included.

I felt teary eyed with the sweetness of the whole day and the goodness of God.

Undeserved.

Unearned.

But,

Noticed,

Savored,

Counted.

piling up gratitude day by day
