Thankful for beauty…

I could live without them…

004

little bits and pieces of this and that here and there around my home…

003

but I see beauty in them…

002

they bring me pleasure.

013

We could have lived without the beauty…

021

God could have given us a world without it…

015

a world without lovely things to see, hear, taste, touch…

014

but He created beauty for His pleasure and for ours…

029

ours to enjoy…

032

to take notice of, to appreciate, to give thanks for.

my continuing gratitude list #1223-#1239

-butterflies, especially the one that “posed” for me

-a gorgeous fourth of July

-the Hubs and I spending the day by the river

-watching fireworks all over the city from Mt. Tabor park

-going to my daughter’s ultrasound with her and seeing newest granddaughter doing flips

-watching youngest granddaughter happily playing in the sunny backyard with a bucket of water and plastic cups

-the beauty You created for us

Gratefully yours,

Elizabeth

  1. Amen, Elizabeth! I delight in the beauty of the details, too. I just read, in a Grace Livingston Hill book, the following:
"There is an education and an uplifting in beautiful things, and in quiet, peaceful, restful surroundings, which does not count for naught, else God would not have made the world so beautiful." Your post brings this to mind.

  4. I really enjoy all the beautiful pictures you take. They are so refreshing especially since OK is hot, dry and nearly everything in my yard is brown. I especially love the picture with the milk bottles in your milk carrier. I have been looking for one like yours that will hold 6 bottles. Keep sending us God's beauty!! It is always refreshing and uplifting for me!!
