Fort Popham, Maine...

Hi! I hope you'll join me as I continue to take you along with me, via my photos, on the trip to Maine that my three daughters and I took this summer to celebrate my sixtieth birthday.
Our first stop was beautiful Kennebunkport. You can join me for that post here.
My next post was of our time in Portland, Maine. View that post here

The following day we headed towards my Mama's hometown of Bath, Maine. Fifteen miles outside of Bath is Popham Beach where there is a civil war era fort, Fort Popham.

The photo above is was shot through one of the "windows" of the fort. I immediately saw the word "Hi" instead of some old rusty metal structure.  I thought it was a good photo to try in black and white.
The beautiful homes and old church near the fort are the quintessential New England Maine architecture that I love.  So picturesque.

This photo of a man in his rowboat in the midst of the fog is, perhaps, my favorite photo.  I'm thinking of having it printed onto a canvas.
And now onto some photos of our time exploring the fort.
My three girls and our youngest grandson inside the fort.

A close up of our youngest daughter and Mr. Cutie Pie.
I hope you're enjoying this photo journey.  I'm enjoying reliving my trip as I prepare these posts!

still following,

  7. You are getting some great photo memories. I like the one with the guy in the boat...it is foggy and then photo is clear around him. What a plus to have that adorable baby along for the trip. :)
