Secret Petitions...

Sometimes we have prayers and petitions that we've shared with no one but God.  Often it's His ears alone that have heard the truth about our unhealed hurts, our unmet needs, our unfulfilled expectations, hopes, dreams and desires. It's Him we go to with our cries of desperation when we fear judgement or rejection from others if we were to tell them about our struggle with sin or unbelief or discouragement or depression.    (Join me for the rest of this post on Sunday, March 12th, at Woman to Woman Ministries where each Sunday I share a bit of Sunday Soul Food!)

  1. I've always loved this verse. Delight means excitement...something we desperately crave in our relationship with Jesus. Thanks for sharing today on the Sunday Thoughts Link Up

    1. I love this verse as well, and though a familiar favorite, God recently reminded me again of its truth in a sweet and personal way.

  2. Perfect photo to share with your scripture. I love white, and what better than on flowers....because it seems to portray goodness, and the words to delight in the Lord give comfort.

Also, I'm glad you put which Bible it came from. I knew I'd seen you post before that you like the Classic, but I couldn't remember or find where you'd said which one. Looks like it would be helpful. I have different versions and also when I use eSword on my computer there are various ones, but this one would be nice (in hand) for understanding. I like and usually use the KJV, but sometimes can be confusing to me with the wordings. :)

    1. I love words and I love the way the Amplified Bible, Classic tries to give the full meaning of the words used in the original language.

  3. Forgot, but if you don't mind..may I ask..I see different versions. Is the one you're using comparative to others or just the classic edition? Thanks..

    1. I use the Amplified Bible, Classic Edition, (they recently did an updated version, but I prefer the classic), as my everyday Bible. For inductive bible study I use the New King James or New American Standard Bible. I like to use Bible Gateway.com and look up different translations and paraphrases.

    2. Thank you..:)
My grandson ask me once when he was out shopping with me, why do you look for another Bible. You have one already. I explained that I like to look for different versions, and even at the Thrift Stores, I look for older editions.
