For the past week I've been in recovery mode from our trip to Ghana, West Africa. I couldn't seem to get my sleep cycle back to normal. However, I had some especially sweet times of breakthrough in my own heart as I spent those hours when I was up well before dawn with the Lord. He knows best, and I needed that time with Him even more than I needed sleep. Last night was the first night in the week that we've been home that I stayed awake until our normal bedtime and didn't wake up until it was actually morning! My inner clock may be back on pacific time, but I want my heart to remain open and sensitive to God's dealings. (Please excuse the font issues that I'm having today.)
Since 2009 I've been counting my blessings thanks to the prompting of Ann Voskamp.
I continue to count my thanks
piling up gratitude day by day
in my journal.
(and capturing some of my blessings via my camera or iPhone)
