I will give thanks...

It Is Well-Bethel Music
Grander earth has quaked before
Moved by the sound of His voice
Seas that are shaken and stirred
Can be calmed and broken for my regard

Through it all, through it all
My eyes are on You
Through it all, through it all
It is well

Through it all, through it all
My eyes are on You
It is well with me

Far be it from me to not believe
Even when my eyes can’t see
And this mountain that’s in front of me
Will be thrown into the midst of the sea

So let go my soul and trust in Him
The waves and wind still know His name

It is well with my soul
It is well with my soul
It is well with my soul
It is well with my soul

This week has been a hard one for our nation.  This morning as we sang this song together in church, I knew that it held some keys to making it through this time of turmoil. We've got to keep our eyes on God.  We've got to keep on believing even when all our eyes see around us is turmoil and strife.  We've got to let go and trust Him. We've got to rid ourselves of any attitudes that cause our soul to be unwell and let God's peace rule in our mind and heart.  And, it's always a good idea to take time to notice His blessings and give Him thanks.

Since 2009 I've been counting my blessings thanks to the prompting of Ann Voskamp.
I continue to count my thanks
piling up gratitude day by day
in my journal.
(and capturing some of my blessings via my camera or iPhone)
