Easing into Autumn...

Two weeks from today it will officially be autumn.
While the days here in Portland, Oregon are still summer temps,
the mornings are cool enough for a light sweater.
Some of the trees are beginning to change colors.
Autumn is near.

I'm not ready for full October/November decor,
but, like our cool mornings, I added just a hint here and there that autumn is near.

Bits and bobs of nature are my favorite decorating accessory.

I add things from nature to things I already have and love,
like favorite ironstone finds in an old berry tote.

Are you getting ready for autumn?

  1. I keep looking at everyone else's great Fall décor but I have not even started with mine.. I guess I will just keep looking for another week or maybe two and enjoy everyone's great Fall décor.. Blessings!

    1. Thanks for taking time to comment, Patty! Re. fall decor, I do a bit here and a bit there and it changes with more pumpkins and such as we get into October. (But no Halloween stuff, I'm not into that.)

  2. so pretty! I can't jump into full-out fall decor yet either...this is perfect for our pre- fall season. Something peaceful about the neutral tones and the nature decor : )

    1. Thanks for taking time to comment, Deb. Easing into the change of seasons seems to suit both of us!

  3. I love how you set everything up, especially the wooden tray that you used. I'm now going to be on the lookout for something like that, so I can have one of my own. :)

(Thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving a comment.)

    1. They are so easy to find here in Oregon where the berry pickers use them. Hope you find one wherever you live!

  4. I love your bits of autumn. As for me? Yes, I am getting ready for it. I will not be putting out the pumpkins for a few weeks at least, but I have begun to take away the summer and pull out organic autumn touches in the house and just a wee few inorganic ones too.

  5. I love the bits of autumn with your stone ware. Perfect!

  6. Beautiful photos.. show an autumn feeling (yeah, I'm ready, I like the autumn!)
