A little patriotic touch and a new ironstone bowl...

The hubs and I are having a great time on our little getaway to Victoria, British Columbia.
I'm sharing a simple little something that I did before we left home.

My Restoration Hardware knock-off shelves got a little bit of a patriotic touch last week
with  a few simple touches.
First I draped it with a tiny red, white and blue fabric pennant banner,
then I placed some of my white kitchen towels with a stripe of red and blue in a favorite ironstone bowl.
Easy peasy!

I found another ironstone bowl for half price at an antique mall on a trip to the coast a few weeks ago.
I sure do love ironstone!

It's hard to believe that June is already over and that we are celebrating the fourth of July on Friday!

still following,

  4. Hi Elizabeth!
Just stopped by from the Sizzle Into Summer party and love the touches..simple but a quite eye catching. LOL, the towels need some embroidery tho..sorry the embroidery compulsion takes over sometimes.

  10. Such simplicity and beauty. I love this, Elizabeth. We just picked blueberries and raspberries today, and I was so captivated by the simple red and blue celebration of it all. :)
