What's not to love...

It was Monday morning.
The forecast called for sunny weather, not just here in the Willamette Valley, but also on the Oregon coast.
Then in my email inbox was a big discount offer on a room at our favorite hotel.
Just like that I decided that the smart thing to do would be to take my granddaughter,
who was about to turn eleven, with me on an impromptu beach getaway.
My sweet sunshine girl, my favorite place, what's not to love about that!

Since 2009 I've been counting my blessings thanks to the prompting of Ann Voskamp.
I continue to count my thanks
piling up gratitude day by day
in my little black journal.
(and capturing some of my blessings via my camera or iPhone)
