Whoooo's ready for fall?
This Sunday is the first day of autumn.
I'm ready for it!
This "green pumpkin" is technically a hubbard squash according to the sticker on it.
But, whooooo cares?
It looks very fall-ish to me sitting next to my favorite antique Shawnee pottery owls.
In the living room touches of fall are here, there, everywhere.
From stalks of golden wheat plopped into an old bucket and hanging from an old ladder to...
simple fall garlands adorning a mirror...
pumpkins placed next to vintage cameras, and acorn adorned soda bottles...
real white pumpkins along with ceramic pumpkins in an antique wooden cubby...
felt fall pumpkins and acorn under glass...
and even the mantel is all ready for fall!
But we'll keep you in suspense about that until next week.
The kitchen window has a little fall garland.
And the copycat Restoration Hardware shelves in my dining room, are sporting a few pumpkins as well.
It's not only almost autumn, friends,
it's almost Friday!
Have a HAPPY, HAPPY Friday
and
a BLESSED weekend.
love love love every single bit of this, and those Shawnee Owls are just too cute, I've not seen them before...love me some owls!!
ReplyDeleteDebra, Anthropologie has a new version of this vintage owl cookie jar originally made by the Shawnee Pottery co. in the forties. I was thrilled when some sweet friends bought me a real vintage one, instead of a newer copy.
DeleteSo much warmth and coziness!! Love your fall touches.

Thanks so much, Mary Alice. You are so kind and encouraging to me!
DeleteYou have a lovely home. The pictures have me ready for fall too. Blessings!!
ReplyDeleteIt's really quite a simple, small home, but we are so thankful for it!
DeletePretty vignettes! I like the vintage Brownie camera. Seems like I'm seeing a lot of owls this fall season. :)
ReplyDeleteYes, owls are big again like in the 70's. What goes around comes around!
DeleteLove your touches of fall! Those cubbies are so fun!
ReplyDeleteSusan
I love my wooden cubby too. I got it at a local antique mall. I just had to get it when I saw that it was on sale and that the wood matched my antique library table perfectly. Paired together they look like they were made for each other!
DeleteSo homey and ready for fall--love it!
ReplyDeleteThanks, sweet friend. I love to putter around the house and change things up for the seasons.
DeleteI picked goldenrod today--and the morning temps have dipped to the 50's. Yay for fall.
ReplyDeleteYes! It's the cozy season again!

Besos from Argentina,
Silvina
Hello to you there in Argentina! My husband visited your country once and loved it! Thank you for visiting me here and I hope you will come back!
DeleteFall is definitely in the air in the middle Atlantic. I love that you decorate. I'm still searching for my routine. I doubt there will be any fall decorations at this house.
ReplyDeleteI am definitely one who loves to putter and change things up around the house. That's just not everyone's cup of tea. If we were all alike, what a boring world it would be!
DeleteSo lovely! You've definitely inspired me and given me so many ideas!
ReplyDeleteThanks Carmen. Isn't it fun to see things online and then make your own spin on the idea! Yeah for Pinterest and decor blogs!
DeleteOh everything's adorable. I love the garland! Thanks for sharing! Stop by my Friday's Five Features and link up this post (and others)! diy-vintage-chic.blogspot.com/2013/09/fridays-five-features-no-9.html
ReplyDeleteThanks Becca. I made the garland from little felt shapes I bought at World Market.
DeleteFall pumpkins have not arrived at my home yet! But they will be here soon - very soon! Love the way you've scattered them around your home. Cozy. Comfy. Welcoming!
