Peace and rest! That's what I get everytime you post a picture of your home. I have one question can you tell me how you made your rosarie cross? I don't think it would be hard to do but would be great to see how you did yours. I really do like it because it puts me in constant reminder of what all Jesus did for me!
Hi, friend. I actually did not try to make them into an actual rosary, though you can find how to do that online. I had a carpenter friend make the cross, then just strung them with beads from Walmart! I love the look of French rosaries, but since I'm not Catholic, I felt funny about making rosaries, so I just made me some "Jesus beads".
I won't say a word, because the pics are so lovely.
Well, I did just take a whole car trunk full of decor to my friend who has a vintage store, so now I have room for more, right?
You have already turned into a very clever lady who has a house that is totally you - a peaceful home! Loved your photos. It almost felt like I was visiting you again.~Adrienne~
Hey friend! Your comment, as well as some other comments, mentioned that my home looks peaceful, which triggered tonight's new blog post.
LOVE your inspirational photos!! And they're not knick-knacks...they're accessories. Big difference in my world. :-) I'm always correcting my husband when he calls my treasures knick-knacks.Mary Alice
Accessories sounds so much more hip and cool! Thanks, Mary Alice!
Wow, you're an artist at decorating! Saw your "Trust" Scrabble letters and had to visit, in my kitchen windows I have "Trust God" on a scrabble stand (kindred spirits, you and me!). Your home is surely beautiful, such gorgeous pictures, wow! Love the ironstone pitchers, wow I'm going back to look through all the pics again. Saw your link at Savvy Southern Style and just had to see for myself :)Mary
I like that! Can't have too many kindred spirits in life, can you?
I will not tell you that you're turning into an old lady with a house full of knick knacks. I'll tell you that you are filling your home with stuff that makes you smile and tells a story, just like I like. I love those winking owls.
Thanks, Debbie! I've got a big church bbq at my house Sunday afternoon, so I'll probably be cleaning and switching things around again!
No, no, no!! These are love tokens. I scrolled slowly--and I adore each of them. Wish we could share coffee in your kitchen. We both love old things. Antiques.Your home radiates such peace, Elizabeth. xoxo
