Amazing love…

038

043

It’s a joy to have my two oldest grandbabies visiting from South Carolina.

One of the biggest pleasures has been having all of my grandbabies together again,

the two older ones with their little cousin, my youngest granddaughter.

I have three grandbabies, (and another on the way!).

God brought two of them into our family through adoption.

We love them every bit as much as our natural born grandbaby.

Did you know that Father God loves you and me, His adopted children,

every bit as much as He loves His Son Jesus?

John 17:23  “I am in them and You are in me.

May they experience such perfect unity that the world will know that You sent Me

and that You love them as much as You love Me.”

Isn’t that amazing!

And if that isn’t something to be grateful for, I don’t know what is!

My continuing gratitude list #1122-1133

-a text from my girl

-safe flight home with my grandbabies, and we made our connecting flight,

in spite of a two hour delay on departure

-the “cousins”

039ps

-an especially beautiful spring day

-the unusual surprise of three mallard ducks in our backyard

-eating outside for the first time this season

-second born daughter’s birthday

-an overnight trip to the beach with the two oldest grandbabies

012

013

021

-oldest granddaughter’s spontaneous comment, “Nana, every time I look at you, you have a smile on your face.” (Oh, for that to be true is my prayer!)

-God’s peace in a potentially stressful situation

-the way old Jerry Lewis movie’s make the grandbabies laugh

-the way baby granddaughter says only grandson’s name

Gratefully yours,

Elizabeth

  1. Hi Elizabeth! What wonderful photos of your darling grandchildren! It looks as though you're really having a fabulous visit! Thank you for your recent sweet comments. I wanted to get back to you about the roses. Have you heard of the Eden rose? Do you read Cindy's My Romantic Home blog? She recently shared some amazing photos of her Eden Rose. http://romantichome.blogspot.com/ Simply magnificent! I have one in my yard...it is my absolute favorite and I am impatiently awaiting it's blooms this year! Truly though, I've never met a pink rose I didn't love. I think you'd be very happy with any you choose!
    Have a wonderful week!
    Best Wishes and Blessings,
    Amanda

  3. I so loved your list this week. And the pictures are wonderful. I especially loved your grandchild's comment about your smile. I grew up with a grumpy face, I guess, because I remember people telling me to smile all the time. Now. . . I look at people and I understand. A smile lights up a room and is so contagious! Keep on smiling, my friend!!!!!

  7. Hand's down my favorite one is the smile comment. A constant smile is such a wonderful testimony.

  8. What precious moments to cherish. My little nephew and niece are adopted aswell. People always comment on me smiling too. It's a great witness as I tell them it's because I have Jesus in my heart and I hope His love shines through my smile.

I love that song my Julie Meyer playing in the background Elizabeth.

  9. I just want to tell you what an encouragement your blog is to me this morning. I love the song from paint your picture, I think it is. I'll have to look it up. Your blog playlist is the only one I have liked while visiting blogs. I usually have my own music going while looking at pics. I'm leaning on God and His faithfulness, as I'm struggling with a friend who's thinking about giving up her baby who has Down's syndrome. I think she is in the middle of postpartum depression, and I want her to hang on, and heal, and have hope for a future with her darling child, before making this life changing decision. Thanks again. Aren't Grandbabies the best? My Granddaughter certainly puts a smile on my face.
