Friday’s Favs…Aurora, Oregon antiques!

Twenty four miles southwest of Portland, Oregon is the little town of Aurora, Oregon, population 920.

Aurora is rich in history, but is now rich in antique stores and antique malls.

015

Many of them are located in historic, old buildings.

The town is charming.

For such a wee, little town, there are more than enough antique shops to take the better part of a day to see them all.

So many lovely things to see…

I hoped you enjoyed this little tour of Aurora!

Happy Friday Everyone!

  2. I love small quaint towns like Aurora, especially if they have a lot of antique shops, and it is nice if they have a tea room or two. Thanks for sharing.

  3. Thanks for the tour and for all the inspiration. What a charming town. It was lovely to see your photos of the forsythia in bloom. I can't wait for spring! I'm visiting from Vintage Inspiration Friday. I hope you'll stop by Cottage and Creek and say 'hi'.

  7. Next time you go, give me a holler! Seriously, I live less than an hour away from Aurora and have sweet memories of my hubby taking me there on a date when I came up to meet his family for the first time. He bought me an antique brush set and I knew he was a keeper for sure. I think we could do some serious damage shopping there together Elizabeth! :-) Thanks so much for linking up to Inspiration Friday!

  10. Oh what a great store!

Gorgeous vignettes! Juxtapostion at its very best.

I am having an antique auction on my blog. All sorts of lovely and romantic finds looking for a new home. I hope you'll stop by.

    Have a wonderful weekend.

  11. On my next visit to Portland, I'll have to drive on to Aurora. Our minister grew up there, and his youngest daughter is named "Aurora."

  12. What a perfect little town--so sorry I missed it when I was out that way a few years ago--

Wow! Elizabeth, so sorry I haven't been commenting as much--I have been keeping up with my special friends in the google reader but have been so busy with the "start up" of the ranch.

And I am soooooooo behind in my work here at the house. I am trying to balance all of this and not doing a very good job of it BUT

I want you to know that you are definitely one of the special friends God has blessed me with through blogging and I feel a deep Holy Spirit connection with you.

I always enjoy your blog--your writings, your photos, --you make even the sad news beautiful, dear friend, if such a thing is possible.

    See you soon,
    Love, D.
