God’s love wrapped in pink…

Sometimes I pray sitting right there in bed with my morning cup of coffee, Bible in lap.  Sometimes I pray in my office kneeling by my little prayer bench.  However, when prayer feels mechanical, when it feels like words being spoken without life or passion, when it feels like I am reciting a list, when it feels like ritual instead of relationship, then I know it’s time to put on my walking shoes, grab my IPOD loaded with my favorite worship tunes, head outdoors and walk and talk.  Just as if I was walking with a flesh and blood buddy, the conversation flows naturally between God and I on these walks.  All around me, in the beauty He made for me, I see His love.  Today it was all wrapped up in pink, and I unwrapped His great love, and simply responded, “I love You, too.”
Still following,

  1. Wow, those azaleas are something else!

  2. Only the Lord could make something so pretty...thanks for sharing...God bless you, Robyn and Daisy Mae

  3. Walking and talking. I do the same, but with old country gospels that I grew up on. Great post!

  4. What an AMAZING Creater we have!!

  5. Hi Elizabeth - I came by today to visit and I found just what I needed for the day ahead! Thank you for sharing from your heart. I live close to you (in Canby) and our part of the Valley is so gorgeous. How can I not talk to God and hear His voice when I see what He's given us? I will be back soon. ~Adrienne~

  6. I knew I was going to love your blog from the moment the header loaded and the music began! What precious thoughts you have shared with us today! New follower from Tuesdays Unwrapped. :)

p.s. I added your button to my collection. Thanks!

  7. I'm not sure whether or not Disqus e-mailed you a copy of my response to your comment so I'm copying it here. :)

I create the sticky notes here: and then download them to my computer and paste them in my blog entry as an image. It's just a fun, and different, way of posting that I use on Tuesdays. Frequently mine ends up being sort of a week in review. :)

  8. Seeing all the pink makes me happy:)
Stopping by from chatting at the sky!

  9. Beautiful photos!

Elizabeth, I wanted to thank you for being a part of my first year of blogging! What a wonderful year it has been. I'm throwing a little party and as an honored guest, I would love for you to stop by and share a highlight of your year with all of us.

    Cactus Happy,

  10. Beautiful pictures, the beauty He surrounds us with is truly amazing. Thanks for sharing. Love and Blessings, Angel

  11. Dogwoods, Columbine and Azaleas all spoke to me through this post!
I think He must know we love pink!
I have all three of those reminders in my yard too, but they are not all pink ;)
How He loves us to make beauty for us!
