Weekly Gratitude Journal

It's not the coronavirus that scares me, it's our responses to this pandemic that have me mourning. The store shelves are empty due to panic and selfishness. Politicians and the media are all too eager to use the crisis for their own political gain. I have to shift my focus to the faithful character of God and the truth of His Word in order to keep my thoughts from plummeting into despair. I have to choose to continue to focus on all that there is to give thanks for. Today, I want to give thanks for a blog comment that was left on my blog yesterday from a woman in Italy saying that she is praying for our country. You, my friend, have helped me to see that there is goodness and beauty in the middle of all of this chaos.

Since 2009 I've been counting my blessings thanks to the prompting of Ann Voskamp.
I continue to count my thanks,
piling up gratitude day by day in my journal.
(and capturing some of my blessings via my camera or iPhone)
