Little Cabin on the Umpqua River and Heceta Head Lighthouse

My Iphone and Nikon are full of photos from our recent vacation. We went to our son-in-law's family cabin on the Umpqua River for a week, came home to repack, and then went to Victoria, B.C. for five days. We had a lovely time and I am enjoying reliving it as I go through my photos. Today I'm sharing a foggy morning at the cabin as viewed from the back deck. By the last photo in this series, you can see that the fog is beginning to burn off giving way to a sunny afternoon.

The cabin is only a short drive inland from the Pacific, so one afternoon we enjoyed a drive on Hwy. 101 up the Oregon coast. In none of the photos is the color manipulated, so you can see once again the fog giving way to stunning clear blue skies.
Sea lions abound on the rocks on this stretch of the Oregon coast.
I'll be sharing more photos of our vacation over the next couple of weeks.

still following,
