Noticing my life...

Is it just me, or does this year seem to be zooming by at supersonic speed? We are already nearly halfway through 2018! I wish I could slow time down and slowly savor the moments of my life. While that is impossible, keeping a gratitude journal is my small way of refusing to let those moments fly by unnoticed.
Since 2009 I've been counting my blessings thanks to the prompting of Ann Voskamp.
I continue to count my thanks,
piling up gratitude day by day in my journal.
(and capturing some of my blessings via my camera or iPhone)

-waking up slowly with a cup of coffee in bed, brought to me by my guy
-good weather for working outside in the yard
-an unexpected quiet evening at home after other plans were cancelled

-it's May!
-taking my youngest grandson on a nice long walk in his stroller
-an impromptu family dinner-Taco Tuesday!

-replanting the patio pots
-a couple of hours of hard work and at least one flowerbed looks much better!
-yummy leftovers for dinner

-National Day of Prayer
-another beautiful day for more yard work
-a sweet time of prayer and worship at church

-my hub's day off
-the book of Proverbs
-our oldest granddaughter did so great in her school play
-the memorial service for my oldest niece
-my siblings
-the comfort found in a quiet evening at home after an emotional day

-asking for prayer and the sweet ladies who prayed for me
-facetiming our two youngest grandgirlies to talk about their Disney cruise vacation
-Psalm 16:8 and 26:3-God reminding me what my focus should be on

still following,
