Still thankful...

Yesterday I accidentally washed my Fitbit in my leaky washing machine.  Today my dryer quit heating. There are so many things that I'd rather spend money on than replacing my fitness tracker or buying a new washer and dryer. (Ours are too old to bother to repair anymore.)  In spite of those kinds of bumps in the road, my heart is full of gratitude today.  God is so good, so faithful, so kind.  There is just so much to be thankful for if I only keep my eyes and heart open to see.
****************
Since 2009 I've been counting my blessings thanks to the prompting of Ann Voskamp.
I continue to count my thanks
piling up gratitude day by day
in my journal.
(and capturing some of my blessings via my camera or iPhone)
#10,313-#10,330

10-2-17-
-the stories of heroism, courage and selflessness coming out of the disaster in Los Vegas
-a good walk that lifts the spirit as well as exercises the body
-baking with my "unofficially adopted" granddaughter

10-3-17-
-a breakthrough in my prayer time after a dry spell
-small group prep going better with some of the cooking done yesterday
-friends who pitch in with the dishes

10-4-17-
-$10 off coupons
-beautiful autumn walk
-medicine and a nap that helped with muscle spasms in back and neck

10-5-17-
-morning traffic not too bad when I had to drive to Portland
-feeling so much better today!
-my happy youngest grandson-all smiles and lots of snuggles and kisses

10-6-17-
-a sweet morning quiet time
-a good Friday date day
-early to rise, early to bed with my new Mitford book

10-7-17-
actually forgot to write in my gratitude journal on this day!
I did watch our youngest grandson while his mama and daddy went to the football game with Papa so I'm thankful for time with him.

10-8-17-
-water baptisms
-tears at the testimonies of those being baptized
-a stranger paying for our bill at lunch, (for nine of us!)

still following,

  4. Oh that picture of the youngest grandson really got me! I can't wait to meet our first grandchild in January! What an amazing feat that you are over 10,000 graces and counting. "God is so good, so faithful, so kind. There is just so much to be thankful for if I only keep my eyes and heart open to see." You've definitely kept your heart and eyes open! Blessings to you.
