Counting His graces...

Oh, how He loves us.
We just need to count the ways.

Since 2009 I've been counting my blessings thanks to the prompting of Ann Voskamp.
I continue to count my thanks
piling up gratitude day by day
in my journal.
(and capturing some of my blessings via my camera or iPhone)

-our silly youngest grandson who has renamed us both "Nonnie" instead of calling us Papa and Nana
-our oldest daughter and son-in-law's 18th anniversary
and our youngest daughter and son-in-law's first anniversary

-having a heart to heart talk with Jesus on my walk
-running errands with my husband
-laughing with a friend, (good medicine for my heart!)

-an unexpected refund in the mail
-talking to my friend that I haven't heard from in too long
-spending some sweet time with our oldest granddaughter

-an honest businesswoman who could have taken advantage of a mistake
-being able to laugh about something I tried and failed at
-a sweet time in God's presence
-trying our hand at planting some veggies

-my hairdresser being able to squeeze me in due to a cancellation
-stopping in to see our youngest daughter at her work
-visiting with our daughter and son-in-law and two youngest granddaughters
-picking and eating cherries with my grandgirlies
-texts and photos from our second born of the good time they are having on their weekend getaway

-enjoying doing some baking and puttering around the house

-funny group texts with our girls
-a wee bit more progress on our unruly yard

-the Lord's encouragement
-a house full for lunch

-the two oldest grands plotting a sleepover at our house since tomorrow's a holiday

still following,

  1. Nothing's better than a *houseful* - looks like everyone had a wonderful time! And that cake - yummy!!

  2. those little turnovers are lookin' mighty tasty right about now, Elizabeth ...
