Easy Grilled Salmon...

It was so beautiful and summer-like yesterday that we fired up the grill!
A good friend recently gave us some freshly caught salmon.
When we had Easter dinner at my youngest daughter's future in-laws,
they served us some fabulous salmon and I was excited to try their method.

First heat up the gas grill on high and let it fully pre-heat.
In the meanwhile, set the salmon, skin side down, on a piece of ungreased aluminum foil.
(You actually want the skin to adhere to the foil so the meat separates from the skin when you serve it.)
Spray the foil around the fish with some non-stick spray.
Liberally sprinkle the salmon with cajun seasoning,
(My daughter's future in-laws used cajun seasoning made by Traeger,
Close aluminum foil around salmon, making a "packet".
When the grill is fully preheated put salmon packet on grill,
close lid and cook for 12 minutes.
Fish should be flakey but not dry.
It's delicious, and healthy too!

On a side note, have you tried the Sweet Kale Vegetable Salad Kit from Costco?
That's what we served with the salmon.
It's a staple at our house now, since my husband, who is not a fan of too many vegetables, loves it!
In fact, he comments each time I serve it how much he likes it.

still following,

  1. This sounds fantastic! I'll have to try it sometime. We use some of the Traeger seasonings but haven't done Cajun. Thanks for the info about the salad at Costco. I need to stop by there soon.
