Little french bowl…

001pk

My daughter, son in law and two grandchildren are on the plane heading for Ghana!

All day I’ve felt emotionally discombobulated…teary, at times a bit crabby even.

It’s just a lot to process.

Too weeks from today the Hubs and I will be on a plane to Ghana too!

We’ll be there for two weeks to speak at a church conference.

I am hoping seeing the kids on their mission field will be a comfort to us.

When we come back to the states they’ll be staying there!

On a less emotional note, last week I found this cute little french bowl at the G.W. for $1.99!

I can have a lot of fun finding a special little something for less than it costs for a coffee at Starbucks!

I love blue and white transferware and this bowl has a similar look.

Isn’t it cute?

Well, my oldest daughter’s two little ones just got here so I can babysit them for a couple of hours,

so I better get going.

They’ll cheer me up! Smile

  4. Have you read "Kisses from Katie"? Or the blog 'the Journey' (kissesfromkatie.blogspot.com)? When I read your post about going to Ghana it reminded me of Katie. I'm reading her book now. She's been an inspiration ... as are you and your family.

  7. I have sat here for the longest time trying to say *just* the right thing. I finally realized that you don't need my ever-present words, you just need my prayers for your faithful family.

And the bowl is beautiful and a steal. I never get anything grand from our GW. I've stopped going there. Sigh.

  8. Beautiful find. More beautiful still is your heart. I'm so glad you get to go visit so early in the mission. It will ease your heart and mind to know yourself where they will be living and with whom they will be blessing.

  10. Be kind to yourself, my friend. You have many changes happening and your body is only a body. You aren't immortal, yet. Praying for you and your family. :)
