Just the usual holiday busyness and blessings! Smile

Our Favorite Sugar Cookies

1 1/2 cups butter
1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 tablespoon vanilla
2 tablespoons whole milk
4 cups all purpose flour
3 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
Cream together butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla until light and fluffy. Stir in milk. Sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Add to creamed mixture and incorporate well. Wrap and chill 1 hour.
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.

Bake til edges are just golden on ungreased cookie sheet.

  2. How very pretty are your cookie making pictures. Almost makes me want to bake ~ but not quite. I gave up making Christmas cookies years ago. Didn't need the extra calories and it was nice to let go of one of those things I always felt "pressured" to do at Christmas. Now my daughter is making the cookies and I like that so much better. Merry Christmas ~ Cindy.

  6. Oh Elizabeth! The precious new Grand baby just makes my heart melt! How wonderful to have family around the Holidays. I know everyone was joyous to be together - and those cookies look so good!
