Friday’s favs…A touch of beach-y gray paint…

When I get bored with the way things are in my home it can become all too easy and too tempting to go shopping and spend money on some little home décor item that I don’t really need in order to change things up a bit. Last Saturday instead of shopping and spending, I put one of my favorite worship c.d.s on and cleaned and puttered and used a little bottle of gray acrylic craft paint to change things up a bit.

See this shelf? Not quite the rustic beach cottage look I am after.

Much better!

So, why stop with the shelf?  This mirror needs a light brushing with some beach-y gray too.

Hmmm, what about some beach-y gray on the candlestands?

I’m lovin’ it!

Have a Happy Friday Everyone!

  9. Absolutely lovely! You gave everything so much more character and I especially like the candlestick. It is so much more satisfying to have that kind of a morning isn't it? Knowing that you transformed things without spending money. Thank you so much for sharing this with us at Inspiration Friday this week!

  10. Hi Elizabeth...

You are so right, my friend! It is always easy to go out and shop but it's much more fun to craft something pretty! I just adore all the new gray that you added to your already gorgeous vignettes! The shelf looks gorgeous done in gray and I love how you accessorized it! Sooo pretty! I also like the gray added to the pretty frame and candleholders! I think it all looks fabulous! You have a beautiful home, my friend! Thank you for sharing it with us...as well as your creativity and talents!

    Happy spring wishes,
