I have several pieces that were wedding gifts 49 years ago, such as a butter dish, sugar/creamer, a vase and a variety of candy dishes. My sister however, has quite a large collection of milk glass with a few hobnail thrown in. I am not collecting anything at this point in my life. I can't imagine my family wanting much of what I already have and treasure and I can't bear the thought of it going to strangers in an estate sale.Elizabeth "Libby" Dayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17145264016754286426noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1105171804337429232.post-60153735598348262552014-04-02T07:56:40.277-07:002014-04-02T07:56:40.277-07:00Your milk glass collection is lovely! I don't know what it's called but I have a hobnail vase (the one in my header that has been "watercolored") that is opague at the top but gradually gets clearish/ iriddescent at the bottom. My MIL gave it to me and I think it is quite old. It's funny, I have ben thinking of getting my collection together and taking some pics and posting about them! Years ago I had a big owl collection and then I got tired of it and got rid of them. (Now you see owls everywhere you go.) Next it was bunnies. Got tired of them and now they are gone. My weakness right now is books. I can't resist buying a good used or new book and checking some out from the library. I don't think I will get tired of my books. :-)

DebbiAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1105171804337429232.post-22785994948092236452014-04-02T04:51:53.636-07:002014-04-02T04:51:53.636-07:00Such a sweet collection...and I love that you show...Such a sweet collection...and I love that you showcased it in a gorgeous tray....looks beautiful!Christine @ Rustic-Refinedhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15062085942305276829noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1105171804337429232.post-88111416730174955662014-04-01T19:31:06.437-07:002014-04-01T19:31:06.437-07:00Certain "tacky Christmas" is very trendy...Certain "tacky Christmas" is very trendy right now, like the aluminum trees. Growing up our neighbors up the street had one in their picture window that slowly spun around while a light that changed colors shone on it. I thought us having a real tree was another consequence of being a large family with a little pocketbook.elizabethhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06572872315082254364noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1105171804337429232.post-12428357359572628732014-04-01T19:11:31.814-07:002014-04-01T19:11:31.814-07:00I love tacky Christmas.
